Tiny little fingers, wiggling in your arms,
Starts with a yawn, moves on to a smile...
Your flesh and love, the best part of you
Playing in your arms, sticking close to you...

For months you toiled, you prayed, you dreamed
Looking up names, the days you spent...
The joy of first glimpse, smiling through the pain
Your child, your baby, your gain through pain..

Now she lays playing by your side
Happiness sweeping by, like a tide..
Innocence you see, warmth you feel
She's every bit of me, tells your every feel..

She'll get better than me, always your dream
Farther in life, than you've ever been
Your flesh and love, the best part of you
Laying in your arms, sticking close to you...

One day she will grow, time for her to move
Till that day comes, you give her your love
She'll always be back, never leave you alone
For your love's first thing, she's ever known..

Smiling at your touch, cuddling in your hold
Sleeping in peace, your bundle of gold
